{ Alexander The Great! }

American Vogue paying Tribute to Alexander McQueen!!!

“McQueen had such a singular voice and he was a remarkable technician. He really was one of the most provocative voices of the past 30 years in fashion. His catwalk presentations were outstanding and spans both art and fashion”. He continued, “We want to get across two elements – the spectacle of the runway presentations and the beauty of his craftsmanship,”

said the MET’s Andrew Bolton.

A wonderful exploration under the sign of grotesque, unconventional standard of beauty successfully evoked by the Legendary Designer,

telling about his subversion of traditional tailoring and dressmaking practices through deconstruction, the engagement with Romantic literary traditions as death, decay, darkness and the fascination for femme fatales, anti-heroes such as pirates and highwaymen,

which will be included in a book Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty by Andrew Bolton and Harold Koda.

A not to be missed event to enjoy the work of unforgettable and emblematic persona of fashion world.
